The Founders Circle · Coaching Programme
A 6-month coaching programme for women with significant professional experience who are ready to build a business of their own.
You have spent decades building real skills, real relationships, and a real understanding of how the world works. The Founders Circle is where that foundation becomes a business — thoughtfully, sustainably, and on your terms.
I know I have something valuable to offer. I just don't know how to package it — or where to start.
The Founders Circle is built for that moment.
You may recognise yourself here
I know I have something valuable to offer — but I can't quite articulate what it is or how to charge for it.
I cannot leave my job tomorrow, but I want to build something real and test real ideas while I still have a salary coming in.
My skills and experience have outgrown my current role. I'm doing the work, but I don't own it.
I have been thinking about this for years. I am tired of thinking. I want to actually do it — with structure, support, and accountability.
The Midlife Advantage
Most business-building content assumes you are starting with nothing — a blank sheet and a borrowed idea. You are not. You are starting from decades of credibility, relationships, and pattern recognition that cannot be fast-tracked.
Book a Discovery CallDecades of demonstrated expertise that cannot be faked, bought, or fast-tracked by someone twenty years younger.
Relationships built over a career — your warmest first clients already know you, trust you, and have seen your work.
You understand how organisations work, how people behave, and — crucially — what actually produces change.
The capacity to navigate complexity, hold difficult conversations, and manage uncertainty with composure.
The Programme
The Founders Circle combines a comprehensive 8-part workbook with structured coaching sessions and real-world between-session tasks. Every session builds on what you have written and tested since the last one.
Session 1
Your motivations, the life context you are building from, and the first articulation of your Next Chapter Vision. Honest stocktaking, not wishful thinking.
Session 2
A thorough skills audit and experience mapping that surfaces the value you have been giving away for free — and clarifies what you are genuinely exceptional at.
Session 3
Problem-solution mapping and real-world validation. Moving from "I think this is needed" to "I know there is demand, and I have tested it."
Session 4
Your Business Model Canvas, your Minimum Viable Offer, and a pricing structure grounded in your value — not in what you think the market will accept.
Session 5
A staged income plan that maps your transition from employed to self-employed without requiring you to leap before you are ready.
Session 6
Reframing the beliefs that have been holding you back, your committed 12-Month Transition Plan, and a 7-day first action you will be held to.
At the heart of The Founders Circle is an 8-part guided workbook that takes you through every stage of your transition — from self-assessment and value articulation to business design, income planning, and your first 12 months. You can use it independently or as the backbone of your coaching engagement.
Two Ways to Join
Individual
A fully personalised six-month engagement built entirely around your context, your pace, and your specific business idea. Everything is designed for you — the intake process, the session focus, the between-session check-ins. There is no generic framework applied to your situation. Your situation is the framework.
Ideal for
Women who want full personalisation, direct 1:1 attention, and a coaching relationship built entirely around their specific situation and transition timeline.
Group Cohort
A curated cohort of up to six women working through the programme together. You bring your individual business idea and personal situation — but you test, challenge, and develop it alongside peers who are at the same stage of transition. The group becomes a resource: a market testing panel, an accountability structure, and a business development circle in one.
Ideal for
Women who learn well with peers, want community alongside structure, and value real-time feedback from other experienced professionals at the same stage of transition.
What You Leave With
At the end of The Founders Circle, you leave with a body of tested thinking, documented decisions, and concrete next steps — not just encouragement.
Aligned with your skills, your values, and the life you are building — and validated through real conversations, not just personal conviction.
Your filled-in workbook becomes a living document: your business model, your offer, your pricing, your first 12 months, all written down.
A warm outreach strategy built from your existing network, with a named first test and a timeline you have committed to out loud.
A staged plan for replacing your employment income that doesn't require you to take a reckless leap or wait until everything is perfect.
Your ideal week, your Energy Audit results, your non-negotiables — a business built around your life, not a life squeezed around your business.
The kind of confidence that doesn't depend on someone telling you you're good enough — because you have tested ideas and seen them hold up.
Your Coach
I have spent more than fifteen years working with leaders, organisations, and systems across Africa and globally — helping people think more clearly, act more deliberately, and build things that actually hold up under pressure.
The Founders Circle grew directly from that work. Again and again, I met accomplished women who were stuck not because they lacked capability, but because no one had helped them turn their expertise into something they owned. The programme is the answer I kept wishing I could hand them.
I bring to this work a deep grounding in systems thinking, feminist facilitation, and the Enneagram — a framework that allows me to work with the whole person, not just the surface-level presenting question. My approach is direct, evidence-based, and grounded in the belief that reflection without action is incomplete.
The Founders Circle is not a cheerleading programme. It is a working one. You will write, think hard, test ideas in the real world, and be held to the commitments you make. What you leave with will be yours — earned, not gifted.
Getting Started
Step 1
A free 30-minute conversation to understand where you are, what you are building, and whether The Founders Circle is the right fit. No obligation.
Step 2
Together we confirm whether the 1:1 programme or the group cohort is better suited to your situation, timeline, and learning style.
Step 3
You receive your Next Chapter Workbook and complete a pre-programme intake form. Your coach reviews both before your first session.
Step 4
Six months of structured sessions, real-world tasks, and between-session support. You leave with a business you have built — not just imagined.
Questions
No. In fact, arriving with a half-formed idea is common and fine. Sessions 1–3 are specifically designed to surface, test, and refine your business direction. You do not need to arrive with the answer — just genuine intent to find it.
Yes — the programme is designed for exactly that situation. The goal is not to get you to resign immediately. It is to build income, test ideas, and design a transition that you can execute without financial recklessness.
A workshop transmits information. The Founders Circle builds something. You bring your own business idea and context, and the group functions as a peer advisory circle — testing your thinking, challenging your assumptions, and holding you accountable across six months.
One session per month (90 minutes for 1:1, 90–120 minutes for group). Between-session work typically takes 2–3 hours and is designed to be integrated into real life — conversations to have, things to write down, one small test to run. It is not designed for people with unlimited free time.
Yes. The Next Chapter Workbook is available as a standalone self-guided resource from R350. It covers all eight parts of the programme framework. Many women begin there and move into coaching when they are ready for accountability and direct support.
The Founders Circle is sector-agnostic. Past and current participants span consulting, education, NGO leadership, healthcare, financial services, and the creative industries. What they share is significant professional experience and a desire to build something of their own — not a common industry background.
